SMS and WhatsApp Notifications
Learn how NuQueue SMS and WhatsApp queue notifications work, where to manage settings, and what to check before testing.
Overview
NuQueue can help notify customers when their queue number is called or recalled. Depending on your subscription plan and notification credit balance, your workspace may support SMS notifications, WhatsApp notifications, or both.

How customer notifications work
When a customer takes a queue number from the QR page or Kiosk page, NuQueue can show an optional phone number field if notifications are available for the workspace.
The customer phone number is only used for queue updates related to that queue number.
Current public QR/Kiosk message:
We will only use your phone number to send SMS or WhatsApp updates about this queue number.
Notification credits
SMS and WhatsApp notifications use NuQueue notification credits. If your workspace has no available credits, notifications will not be sent even if notification settings are enabled.
You can review usage history from the SMS Usage History and WhatsApp Usage History pages.
SMS notifications
SMS notifications are managed by NuQueue. Tenants do not need to connect their own SMS provider for normal usage.
SMS message templates are controlled by NuQueue to keep message content simple and compliant.
WhatsApp notifications
WhatsApp notifications are managed by NuQueue. Tenants do not need to connect their own WhatsApp provider for normal usage.
WhatsApp availability depends on your plan, notification settings, available credits, and NuQueue provider readiness.
When a notification may not send
A queue notification may not send if:
Your plan does not include the notification channel.
The notification channel is disabled in settings.
The customer did not enter a phone number.
The workspace has insufficient notification credits.
The provider is temporarily unavailable.
Recommended setup checklist

Open Notification Overview and review the status cards.
Enable the notification channels you want to use.
Make sure your workspace has enough notification credits.
Issue a test queue number from QR or Kiosk and confirm the phone number field appears.
Review usage logs after testing.
